Took candid a 2002 toyota camry. The aluminum block had over heated and I needed the head bolts threads tapped. I was going to do the job my self but couldn't justify buying a tool for a car im getting rid of. When I go to pick up the car I popped the hood and immediately got mad. There were metal shavings all over the piston and in the water journals. I asked one of thier mechanics who worked on it and they all told me candy did! It is extremely important ro cover the block with tape or at least block off the areas so metal shavings do not get into it. When he gets there, I call him over and ask him why there arw metal shavings all over the engine. He tells me he taped it off. So I show him thw engine and ask if it was taped off why did you take the tape off and get metal all over the damn thing? He left cardboard all over the engine bay so I would assume maybe he used that to cover portions of thw engine but yea didnt work. He promissed me up and down there will be no issues. If this was my race car or sports car I would have lost it right there and there. Horrible machine shop. Nobody has ever done this horrible a job on any of my cars. This is the worst place ever, took a cylinder head to worked on and he told me he would start on it on Monday, I took the head on Saturday,, he told me it would 3 to 4 days, so I called him on Thursday and he said the head looked good and that he would begin to reassemble it on saturday, so i called him on Friday to make sure it would be done and he told me that his worker called off so to give him until Tuesday and I said ok, I called him on Thursday and he said it would be done on Friday, so called him on Friday and he said he would call later that Saturday, I decided to go buy his shop and take a look at the cylinder head and I was so pissed off, the head had not been touched, when you can lie to your customers that is not a good thing, so after 2 weeks of wasted time I took my cylinder head and took to another shop, got it back in three day and the work was done good and the owner was honest. I would never recomend candy man. I don't like liars.

Candy man amazing person and they do great work , they took 2011 ram 1500 4.7 and they rebuilt the entire engine!! Definitely a place to do your vehicle.

Held off on doing this review for about a year to give a more accurate review.. had taken my 07.5 silverado to have the engine rebuilt! Took it in and they did a great job.. improved power and runs like new! Now ive put a little over 10k miles on the engine and absolutely no problems.. Thanks for taking care of my engine and would definately recommend this shop to anyone looking for engine work.. delays can happen especially if they are really busy so be patient if it takes a week longer/delays.. around $6500 with new motor mounts/and radiator hoses (just replace them since they are already working in thoes areas).. thanks Candy and your crew.. will be back with any future builds! 👍👍

If I can give this place zero stars i would. This shop was recommended to me by a family member so I felt inclined to go here plus I saw the rating and felt at ease. We agreed on a price and for that it was honored. But thats the only good thing I can say about this place. What should have been a 2 to 3 week engine rebuild took more like a month and a half with having to pull the engine out for them to finally taking the vehicle over there since it was a bad rebuild job. To this day my engine has from what a different shop told me bad bearings on the low end and it still leaks oil something that the shop couldn't fix even after taking it 3 times to them. Finally when I was getting my vehicle back after being told multiple times that they would be done tomorrow or next week. The shape I received it was enough to lose all patience. Not only did they drive my vehicle to my house even though i was told it was being delivered by tow truck, it had paint scratches, dirty rags on my seat, unnecessary work done to my carburetor by plugging up a vacuum port with silicon but what really upset me was the amount of rat droppings found in my car. I spoke with the shop owner and even with what wa
